War Against Self-Determination

The current conflict in Sulu, southern
Philippines between government forces and the Moro National Liberation
Front, rages on even as various sectors of the population are calling for
peace. But foreign investors can only be expected to be very happy with
this war, as it ultimately serves their interests in Mindanao’s vast
riches at expense of the Moro people’s right to self-determination.
Salungguhit literally means to
underline; figuratively, to
underscore or highlight.
