SALUNGGUHIT
Crossroads
By Jasper
Almirante/
Bulatlat
The members of Class
2005 are getting their diplomas amid an atmosphere of economic crisis.
Their joy at graduating is expected to be short-lived, as they will soon
go through the difficulties of looking for jobs. For most of them, the
choice will be to work either abroad; or in the call centers – where pay
is relatively high but work is far from rewarding.
Salungguhit literally means to
underline; figuratively, to
underscore or highlight.
