Again,
Technicalities?
Cause-oriented groups
and opposition politicians are making a renewed bid for the impeachment of
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is under fire for human rights
violations, electoral fraud, corruption, and the imposition of
anti-national and anti-people policies. A few days after the expiration of
the one-year moratorium from the filing of last year’s impeachment
complaint, Arroyo faces new charges. However, the new charges risk being
consigned to the dustbin – just like last year’s complaint – as the
administration camp has once again started raising technicality issues
against the complainants.
Salungguhit literally means to
underline; figuratively, to
underscore or highlight.
