PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Windmills of Bangui

Children play below the gigantic windmills off the coast of Bangui, Ilocos Norte (553 kms. north of Manila). These windmills are in use as alternative energy sources through the Bangui Bay Wind Power Project. The first-ever commercial wind farm in Southeast Asia, this project is funded by the Danish Development Assistance (Danida) Mixed Credit Program for Developing Countries.
