Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, and acting Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales are lately in a chorus in claiming to be concerned about the disappearance of Jonas Joseph Burgos. “We want to find Jonas, but how?” they have all said. The reality though is that all evidences thus far point to military men as the perpetrators of Jonas’ abduction last April 28. In so doing, they feign ignorance of what has happened in their own backyard.
