Known for its critical coverage of tuition and other fee increases (TOFI) and administrative policies affecting students, the Cebu-based student publication Today’s Carolinian was removed from its office without prior notice.
The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) denounced the attack, describing the threats as "an utter insanity and a cheap action to silence campus journalists."
It comes as no surprise that the current lockdown has become a de facto crackdown for some of those who dare speak up against the government.
