Bulatlat compiled short accounts of consultants and staff of the Negotiating Panel of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, who were arrested and jailed during the dark years of the dictatorship but are now incarcerated for their continuing fight for a genuinely free country.
NDFP Negotiating Panel interim chairperson Julie de Lima said Loida Magpatoc is a member of the NDFP Reciprocal Working Committee on Social and Economic Reform and should be immune from arrest.
Ma. Loida Magpatoc, 52 years old, had her Document of Identification with her, identifying her as one of the Jasig-protected individuals, when state security forces arrested her on July 28 in Digos City, Davao del Sur.
