Calm as the Shore
It
is early morning in Iba, Zambales and these young men are getting ready
for a day of fishing along the calm shore. The man in the foreground is
tying the rope to his waist as he would be one of those to pull it later,
while the others prepare to throw it into the water. They seem calm as
they set out to go through a day of hard work. It is probably the thought
that because of their efforts others will be having food on their tables
that sustains them in this endeavor however hard it may be, and so they
can face the day as calmly as the shore.
