Ka Satur in Leyte

 BY BULATLAT
 Posted 12:55 a.m. March 19, 2007

Rep. Satur Ocampo was still flown to Leyte at 11:54 am today accompanied by Bobbie Malay, his wife, Rep. Teddy Casino and Bayan Muna staff, and the PNP custodial team.  He will be brought back to Manila after the PNP receives the order by Judge Ephraim Abando of Leyte putting him in the custody of Local Government Undersec. Marius Corpus.  Bayan Muna secretary general Nathaniel Santiago said he fears that government’s insistence of still bringing him to Leyte might be a set-up meant to harm or kill Ocampo.

Meanwhile, former political prisoner Donato Continente, now spokesperson of  SELDA (Society of Ex-Detainees Against Detention and for Amnesty),  has announced that 232 political prisoners nationwide will go on fasting in support of Ocampo and Anakpawis Rep. Crispin Beltran who was arrested February 2006 and is detained at the Philippine Heart Center. Bulatlat
