PHOTO OF THE WEEK

In the Heart of the Hills

The town of Sagada, Mt. Province (about 320 kms. north of Manila) is considered ideal for those who want to live in communion with nature – with its mountainous and forested landscape. In many parts of the town, the houses stand right within the heart of the hills as shown in this photo. Those who look to Sagada for a respite from the fast-paced, pressure-laden urban life hope that the town will not end up with large parts of its mountains having to be “chipped off” to make way for subdivisions – as was the case with chilly Baguio City, the Philippines’ resort capital.
