PHOTO OF THE WEEK

The Real Pinoy Big Brother

The boy in blue carries his brother on “piggy back” across Session Road in Baguio City (246 kms. north of Manila). They were photographed amid the high popularity of the “reality TV” show Pinoy Big Brother, a local version of a show that first became popular in Europe and the U.S. The show takes its name from a character in George Orwell’s novel 1984, and features an unseen man spying on everyone in his house and dealing punishments on those he perceives to be errant. Wittingly or unwittingly, the boy in blue negates this concept and shows how a real big brother should act.
