Ticket to Hell

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo likens charter change as a train that would take the nation to progress, and that those who support get a ticket to Paradise. But given her blueprint for charter change -- no elections in 2007,  the removal of the few nationalist provisions protecting the economy from the rampages of imperialist globalization, and the drastic watering-down of the provisions safeguarding civil liberties and other human rights -- Arroyo's cha-cha train is definitely not a train bound for Paradise but a one-way ticket to Hell.

Salungguhit literally means to underline; figuratively, to underscore or highlight.
