OF THE WEEK

Comparison
A fruit porter walking
barefoot along Session Road in Baguio City (246 kms north of Manila) takes
a breather from pulling his heavy cart of fruits to be sold along the
uphill street. As he tries to catch his breath, he stares at a mega-taxi
passing nearby. He looks as though comparing his plight with that of the
cab driver, and wishing he could load his produce into the vehicle and
just have a smooth ride to the marketplace.
