PHOTO OF THE WEEK

All in a Day’s Work

A resident of Malay, Aklan, extreme right in photo, does the finishing touches to a sandcastle built on the pristine beaches of Boracay island, which has captivated local as well as foreign tourists. Sandcastles like this are a common sight in Boracay, a tourist destination off Aklan province, Panay in central Philippines. Aklanons build these castles using only one shovel for each – working from sun-up to sundown – showing that they have their industry to be proud of aside from Boracay’s white-sand beaches.
