PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Not a War Dance

With the way her legs are positioned and with how she holds the knife, the young Baguio City (246 kms. north of Manila) woman looks as though she’s performing a war dance. But no, she is just gathering watercress, a vegetable that grows on watery patches, from her backyard. She’ll be selling these in the Baguio City market for P20 ($0.42 based on a $1:P48.16 exchange rate) for every small bundle.
