Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, Brig. Gen. Danny Lim announced in a press conference with former vice president Teofisto Guingona, their lawyers and supporters that they decided to leave Manila Peninsula peacefully. Earlier tear gas cannisters were lobbed in the lobby of the hotel, intermittent gunfire was heard, and an armed personnel carrier forced its way through the front door.
