The International Criminal Court is scheduled to conduct the confirmation of charges hearing against former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte is accused of crimes against humanity for implementing a deadly “war on drugs” during his administration.

This fear was also experienced by Dahlia Cuartero, mother of drug war victim Jesus Daboy. During the homily, Cuartero said that she was harassed by Duterte supporters who sent messages through her social media account.
“We have longed for the moment when he will face his crimes."
Rodrigo Duterte himself ordered the killings several times before, during, and after his Presidential term.
“For us victims, the confirmation of charges against Duterte is an answered prayer. It is clear to us that the ICC shows the call for justice does not end in the Philippines."
Unlike the previously released version, the less redacted one now identifies co-perpetrators in the commission of alleged crimes against humanity.
“Today, we have seen and read the names of the real culprits – they who have blood on their hands for implementing a deadly policy. The world ought to know who they are.”
