More and more politicians are thrusting themselves into the limelight in what is turning out to be a frantic run-up to the 2010 elections. Amid the increasing noise, however, the Arroyo administration keeps resurrecting moves to amend the Constitution, while at the same time keeping among its cards the possible option of postponing the elections by declaring martial law or another “state of emergency.”
