Migrante-ME Brief Comment on the still unrelease police report on OFW Erroy-Ibanez death.

6 October 2010

The RP embassy’s move of sending a follow-up letter to the Provincial government of Dammam, Eastern region, is an indication that our Embassy officials are having a problem obtaining the police report on the death of OFW Erroy-Ibanez. It could be recalled that Amb. Villamor sought a dialog from Saudi authorities to ensure that the RP embassy could get a copy of the police report.

The police report is crucial in the filling of an appropriate case against the suspect(s).

RP post Charge de Affaires Ezzadin Tago must double his efforts in obtaining the police reports.

Due to this unfavorable development of not getting a copy of the police report on the death of OFW Erroy-Ibanez, we are calling for President Aquino to intervene.

Aquino is urge to direct DFA-OUMWA to officially send a letter asking for the close cooperation of the host government in solving her case. Or better, send a delegation to Saudi Arabia to look into the worsening conditions of OFWs especially distress and run away. (Bulatlat.com)
