The US, through NATO, appears to be a silent operator in the Libyan rebels’ offensive to depose Libyan strongman Muamar Gaddafi: deploying small units of special forces, providing intelligence, logistical and bombing support. However, when the smoke of battle clears, the US won’t be as silent anymore as it would surely claim its share of the spoils of war. Oil anyone?
