Two tourists welcome the summer by frolicking in the freshness of the waters in Currimao, Ilocos Norte (464 kms north of Manila). Underneath where they are lie the majestic coral reef formations extending kilometer after kilometer in the area encompassing Barangay Pangil in this fishing town off the coast of the South China Sea. This area is among the remaining Philippine water bodies where people can cool off from the summer’s scorching heat without worrying about the ill effects of pollution on their health – a true bounty from nature that ought to be preserved.
