Highland Transporter

His shoulders bent perhaps from the difficult walk, the man transports vegetables – among other things – on a cart in an uphill walk toward a nearby public market in Baguio City (246 kms north of Manila). The residents and tourist visitors of Baguio City know that a walk across its streets is not really a stroll in the park; its streets slope sharply, the city having been carved from a mountain during the U.S. Occupation. The walk becomes more difficult when one pulls around a heavy load, like this vegetable transporter.
