A party-list representative and peasant leader urged former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn “Joc-joc” Bolante, the alleged mastermind of the P728-million fertilizer scam, to tell all.
The United States authorities reportedly ordered the deportation of Bolante.
Anakpawis party-list Representative Rafael Mariano, also chair of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas, challenged Bolante to stop being part of Malacanang’s grand cover-up on the unresolved fertilizer fund scam.
“It’s high-time for Bolante to tell the whole truth and name all those responsible, including the principal and other beneficiaries in the fertilizer fund scam,” Mariano said.
Mariano said that “it is better for Bolante to voluntarily submit himself directly to the Senate” because of fears that the Arroyo administration will be the first to get him.
Mariano expressed fear that once Palace operators or the military and police got hold of Bolante, he will again be used in a ‘grandiose cover up on the fertilizer fund scam.’
Mariano recalled the predicament suffered by National Broadband Network – ZTE broadband deal star witness Rodolfo ‘Jun’ Lozada who was allegedly abducted upon his return to the country. (Bulatlat.com)
