President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has received a mark of 70.2 percent for her performance, a survey by the independent think tank IBON Foundation shows.
At the same time, her net satisfaction rating has remained at -75.6, which is one of the lowest she received since she assumed office in 2004.
According to IBON, 71.02 percent of respondents gave Arroyo failing grades of between 65 and 74 with a mean grade of 67, while 27.31 percent gave her passing grades between 75 and 95 with a mean grade of 78. Arroyo’s overall mean grade for October 2008 was 70.2, IBON also stated.
Asked if they were satisfied with her performance as president, 82.2 percent said they were unsatisfied while 6.6 percent said they were satisfied. In April 2008, 81.67 percent of the respondents answered they were unsatisfied, while 7.69 percent said they were satisfied.
IBON noted that in October 2004, the President’s net satisfaction rating was -67.9.
The current net satisfaction ratings in April and October 2008 are among the lowest since 2004.
The October 2008 IBON Survey was conducted from Oct.1 to 10, across various sectors and regions nationwide. It has a margin of error of +/-3 percent. (Bulatlat.com)
