Quimpo thinks it not possible to reverse the effects of climate change. She said the only thing that can be done at this point is to arrest the process and to mitigate its impact.

“It is still possible, for example, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” she said. “But it will take some time.”

Quimpo also said that in the case of the Philippines, the government must come up with a program that would help people be well-informed on and prepared for calamities resulting from the effects of climate change. (Bulatlat.com)
