MANILA — Progressive groups, led by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan-National Capital Region (Bayan-NCR) and urban poor group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap-Ncr (Kadamay-NCR), today staged a lighting rally at the Cintra Metro Manila Tollways Corporation (CMMTC) head office in Parañaque City on Monday to protest the looming implementation of the new Skyway toll increase.



Protesters said that the implementatin of the Skyway toll hike is unjust and untimely, as prices of fuel, food, basic commodities and other services have been rising up, fearing a possible domino effect after the hike. (Photos by Gregorio B. Dantes Jr. / )
