Photo of the week: Death march post

(Mariveles, Bataan) The history of Bataan betrays its tranquility as the province is witness to the most greusome crimes of past and present – the Death March in 1942 which killed thousands of guerillas fighting the Japanese Occupation forces during World War II and, in 2006, saw the torture of Karen Empeno and Sherlyn Cadapan, the two University of the Philippines students who remain missing to this day.
