Media groups in Albay province reminded a Bicol-based government official on the role of private media outlets and the free press not being a threat in dealing with public scrutiny.
"Each day that they remain missing is torture for their loved ones. James and Felix did not commit any crime. James is an activist, who served the workers. Felix is a cyclist, and an environmental defender," the leaflet of two missing activists read.
“These people are innocent civilians being tagged by the NTF-ELCAC as NPAs. Out of their desperation, they are using the civilians for their report on the counter-insurgency program."
