The Palo peasants said: “Balik-uma!” (Back to the land!)

The farmers said: “Let us enrich the soil once more.”
But the government troops did not have to be
Literal.

The people say: “We want lasting peace.”
But the government troops do not have to be
Literal.

Ang sabi ng Mabuting Salita: “Mula sa lupa tungo sa lupa.”
Subalit ang mga sundalo’y hindi kinailangan
Maging literal.

Ang sabi ng mga magbubukid ng Palo: “Balik-uma!”
Subalit ang mga sundalo’y hindi kinailangan
Maging literal.

Ang sabi ng mga magsasaka: “Atin muling pagyamanin ang lupa!”

Ang hiling ng taumbayan: “Nais namin ng matagalang kapayapaan.”
