Jonel Lumabe, Romulos Robinos, and Ryan Supan, residents of Pampanga, are the latest victims of military atrocities in Central Luzon. The incident was reported to Bulatlat by Joseph Canlas, chair of the peasant group Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL or Alliance of Peasants in Central Luzon).

In a span of three hours, soldiers belonging to the 69th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army (IB PA) nabbed Lumabe, Robiños and Supan using a red van with plate number PNN 216, Canlas said.

Lumabe, a former youth organizer in the province, was the first to be arrested midnight of Nov. 16 in his home in Balaba, Dau, Mabalacat. Soldiers then arrested Robiños, a tricycle driver, at around 1 a.m. of Nov. 17 in his home in Tabon, Angeles City while Supan, an out-of-school youth, was the last to be arrested before dawn inside his home in Malpitic (PNR), San Fernando City.

Soldiers barged into the homes of the three, destroying their front doors, Canlas said.

The three are currently undergoing interrogation inside the 69th IB detachment in Barangay San Jose Matulid, Mexico, same province. (Bulatlat.com)
