Awaiting the ‘Exodus’

The Holy Week is known to usher in the hottest days in summer. It is also one of the longest vacations for Filipinos. Thus, people look forward to days of frolicking in the beach during the Holy Week, a practice that does not sit well with the Church as it is supposed to be a week of prayer. Nevertheless, local and foreign tourists and vendors alike await the mass exodus to the country’s beaches.
