MANILA — A snake effigy of the Estradas — Ex-President Joseph Estrada, Congressman JV Ejercito and Mayor Guia Gomez — was burned by residents of Brgy. Corazon De Jesus in San Juan City, as a sign of their anger at the Estrada family for ordering the demolition.
Meanwhile, some residents chose to stay on in their homes even if these are full of holes and, like rags, look tattered and threadbare. They stayed on rather than face uncertainty in the resettlement area in Montalban, Rizal. (Photos by Gregorio B. Dantes Jr. and Janess Ann J. Ellao / )
