25 years after the implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program,farmers campout in front of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to protest the continued massive landlessness among poor Filipino farmers under what they call the “longest, most repressive land reform program in the Philippines.”

    25 years is long enough, I think it’s about time for the government to take action to resolve land issues and lay out concrete plans for the farmers and their families’ benefit.

    CARP is extension of martial law land reform when NPA infiltrated lands to make farmers to be vigilant to landowners. NPAs were given jobs after martial to the disadvantage of landowners who are now murdered, tortured, by squatters made into farmers/beneficiaries. Presidents sign issue grant deeds without knowledge/consent/payment to landowners. CARp makes people squat here, squat there, then election vote at their squatting residence.
