Progressives, human rights lawyers, cultural workers, members of the academe, peace advocates, among others gathered to show their support as former Bayan Muna lawmaker and human rights lawyer Rep. Neri Colmenares vies for a Senate seat in a humble gathering at the Quezon City Sports Club today, Oct. 25.
In his speech, Colmenares vowed to scrap Duterte’s tax reform program, fight corruption, and uphold human rights in the face of a rising dictatorial rule.
Colmenares said, “panahon na para magkaroon ng boses ang karaniwang tao sa senado.”
