Indignation mounts over massacre of anti-mining family
October 28, 2012

MANILA — Anti-mining and human rights groups led another indignation rally this week in front of Camp Aguinaldo. Condemning the massacre of Capion Family in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur last October 18, they brought three coffins in front of the military camp.

Tampakan Forum, a technical working group, blames the massacre on the US$ 5.2 billion gold-copper mining project, one of the largest mining investments in South-East Asia by SMI-Xstrata.
