The nun

“The President wants to be one with the victims of calamities,” said Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda on why the commemoration of People Power 1 would not be held in EDSA.

Four days ago, the survivors of typhoon Yolanda went to Malacanang. They wanted to meet with and talk to the President. They waited for three hours. There was not a word from the President, he did not even peek or wave his hand to them.

Meanwhile, Yolanda rehabilitation czar Panfilo Lacson claimed that those who came to Malacanang are agents of the enemy. They aim for the fall of the President. Like how their shanties and the bloated corpses fell, snatched away by wind and surge.

In tears, the survivors walked home. Their eyelids are as huge as the waves of the sea.
