Now on its seventh year, Filipino women’s rights advocates once again took the streets of Manila to dance and protest the misogyny and rising tyranny in the country.
“We demand change, change for governance that is pro-women and pro-poor. We want all to have better life conditions. We want women’s rights and contributions to be recognized in society.”
“I stand in total solidarity for you here, 100 percent. I came from India and there are thousands of people who are also rising, as they are in Taiwan, Singapore, in the US… We have to power now and take back this planet because it belongs to all of us!” – Eve Ensler
