The four-part gathering, which included multi-national cultural performances, a film-showing, and a forum/discussion and fellowship dinner, was held in celebration of Andres Bonifacio's 150th birth anniversary and the 45th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) on December 26.
“The contributors you will get to know here all responded to our team’s call on social media to submit pieces for a visual and literary anthology on Haiyan/ Yolanda, proceeds of which will go to community reconstruction efforts.”
There in the mountains, Artus Talastas composed songs and sang of hard struggle and freedom that the people picked up and sung over and over. He created crafts and artistic tools and souvenirs that many people even those who do not know him personally or have met him admire and praise.
How many more mothers would have to shed tears before justice prevails?
